We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Carer to join our friendly team at Woodside Care Home in Coatbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting residents to live with dignity, comfort, and independence.
As a Senior Carer, you will play an important role in the day-to-day support of our residents, helping to lead the care team while ensuring each person receives care that is tailored to their individual needs. You will assist with personal care, medication support, care planning, and the supervision of care staff, while helping to create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for everyone who lives with us.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a care setting, excellent communication skills, and a caring, respectful approach. You should be confident supporting both residents and team members, with the ability to work well under pressure and lead by example.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting residents with personal care, daily routines, and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with medication in line with care home procedures
- Leading and supporting care staff during shifts
- Helping to maintain accurate care records and contribute to care plans
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice, and respect at all times
- Working closely with residents, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
- Helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and homely environment
Previous senior care experience is preferred, along with a relevant care qualification or a willingness to work towards one. Above all, we are looking for someone who is kind, dependable, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.
