Christina Simmons
Christina began her career as a nurse in 1986, then travelled the world and worked in many different countries. She returned to Scotland to raise her family and started working in a local Care Home to suit her childcare needs, but quickly found a passion for working with the elderly.
Morningside has always held special significance for Christina, and she returned in late 2024 to support staff, residents, families, and the wider community. She is committed to leading the home on a journey to further enhance a true “home from home” environment and to make a meaningful, positive difference to the lives of everyone who lives, works, or visits Morningside.

“I stayed in Morningside Care Home for 1 weeks respite from 3rd - 10th May 2025. Everything was 1st class. From my room and facilities to my treatment by the staff. I enjoyed the food and especially liked the little church service on Tuesday and entertainer on Thursday. The bedroom was spotless, also the dining area and communal areas. I would be very happy to stay again.”

“We were able to take Mum out for a wee lunch at times and she was always ready to come back here, which was not the case at her previous home. When visiting Mum, she was always happy and loved all the staff who cared and looked after her. I can't fault anything with her care at all. I would like to thank everyone involved with my mum, it was deeply appreciated by all the family. Thanks again.”
